I stand by the superlative adjective used in the title.
Yes, is thus far the best brunch I had in town.
It’s not the cheapest. But it’s worth every cent of the 25€.

with the lovely Elodie

Elodie Michiels is the lovely person behind La Fabrique. With the help of family and friends, she transformed the cute corner of rue Américaine and rue du Mail. The result is simply glorious.

The beautiful dishware and cutlery were Elodie’s granny’s. Every piece of furniture was single-picked at flea markets and vintage shops. Fresh flowers on every table. A gorgeous pastel-coloured place that oozes calm and warmth.

they even make their own herbal tea!

Now, the food.
Everything at La Fabrique is home made -except the bread. From the jams to the freshly made omelettes, the quiches, salads and cakes.
The Brunch is thought to be enjoyed in length and tranquility.
Rush doesn’t mix well at La Fabrique, given the huge array of choice at the buffet.

Start with the coffee of your choice, a freshly squeezed juice or the lemonade of the day and some pâtisseries, cake or crêpe.

When you’re done breakfasting, attack the salads and savoury plates buffet. You’ll find delicious grilled veggies that could cure broccoli-hating children, you’ll feast on stuffed fresh pasta and a thousand more options for vegetarians and meat-lovers (like me).

Then, nevermind what your tummy says, go for yet another piece of cake. The sugar-apple one is to die for. Or how about some carrot-cake? Oh, you’re more of the brownie type with home made salted caramel on top?

very much needed detox water

La Fabrique is children-friendly but just enough so it doesn’t become a noisy playground.
As all awesome places, it gets crowded on brunch days so do call to book a table.
During the week, they serve breakfast -scrambled eggs, french toast- and a large choice for lunch: soup of the day for 6€, toast for 9€, quiche for 9€, pasta for 12€, salad or meat dish for 14€ and an Italian tartare for 17€. Everything is prepared with local and seasonal fresh products. If you’re around for tea, promise me you’ll try their sugar&apple pie!!

Expect a soothing atmosphere of bonhomie and friends laughing.
Good vibes and happy belly guaranteed.

A great address for your next brunch and a definite must when having visit! Right, Marly? ;)
