Stuck in Madrid for 10hs on our way to Uruguay, we decided to head to for lunch.
Mama Campo has two dimensions: a grocery with fresh green products and an organic-food restaurant with traditional Spanish food. The food was really good, the “grandma-made-it” type. Roasted veggies, home-made cheeseburger, patatas bravas and “butifarra” (regional sausage).
And the place is so soothing and rustic. Ceilings covered in jute, sugarcane on the walls, wooden floors and warm tones. Wow. It’s like entering a nurtering cocoon. We spent a wonderful time and would definietely come back!
Mama Campo Restaurant: Calle Trafalgar 22, Open: from 13:30 to 17:30 h. and from 20:30 to 01.30 h. Closed Sunday evenings and Mondays. Grocery store: Open Mondays to Saturdays from 10:30 to 21:00
