My good friends H & A invited me for brunch to . At first, I thought Lulu would be another little café on the treasure-abundant rue du Page. Imagine my surprise when I entered and discovered over 800 m2 of interior decoration, furniture, design objects and a cute café. The space is really impressive. With brands like serax, bloomingville and Sits, you’re sure to fall in love with a lamp, a chair or even china. I need to go back for a Serax lamp to brighten up my home. There’s a big scandinavian feel to it but many vintage objects break the cold-ish scene with quirky old gems. They also have a pop-up shop called SUPER featuring local designers.
At Lulu café you can have breakfast, lunch, tea or brunch, as did we. They have a 15 euro brunch or lunch dish with eggs, toast, sausage, veggies, salad, soup and quiche. I tried their carrot cake too, which wasn’t bad. Guillaume Gomez runs the café. You might remember him from the Louise Café de la Presse. I do remember his brunch which was so so good.
Lulu is a family story. Antoine and Mathieu are two cousins whose Granny, Lulu, introduced them to the furniture business. And now they pay tribute to her with this gorgeous project. Lulu is one of those places you could spend the whole day at. It’s children friendly without being Noisy or annoying. Perfect place to find that special birthday gift, put on your Dear Santa letter or simply treat yourself.
