COFFEE DISTRIKT-TBS-5

This may be one of the best tips that Laurent (from My Little Cup) gave me before I left Brussels to spend a week in my favorite city: B E R L I N.

may not be on your usual tourist Berlin route. But it’s located in the rad Mitte area so you should totally take the detour from the beaten tracks and head to this awesome café for an amazing brew or -as did I… pancakes! They use superb quality beans, carefully chosen for their flavour and richness and brewed by trained baristas.

I was lucky enough to enjoy my coffee and pancakes in the sun on the little sidewalk terrace and it was a moment of absolute bliss. The espresso was perfect. Strong but no sour note. The sourcream blueberries and banana pancakes were super nice. I would have appreciated a bit more fruit, but the dough was impeccable.

Plus check out the leather sofa inside… makes you want to chill there for hours on end reading one of the many magazines hanging from the walls. C E R E A L  and  T H E  W E E K E N D E R  among my favorites. Free wifi is provided so no roaming issues, travelling instagrammers.

So there you go coffee lovers in Berlin.

Cool places nearby:

  • Café & Coffee retailers
  • SODA books and magazines
  • bookstore
  • restaurant
