Before, in order to eat at my favorite restaurant, I had to go to Paris… But that was before… because now the two sisters behind have opened a fourth spot and it’s in Brussels!! Yay for all of us ceviche lovers!

La Cevicheria serves ceviche (surprise, surprise), which is the peruvian star dish. They serve it in all its forms with creative recipes to suit all taste buds. The purists will enjoy the classic ceviche with sea bream, leche de tigre (lime juice, red onions, chili, fresh cilantro…) while the more adventurous diners can relish on the more extravagant creations, like the Nikkei Thuna (nikkei sauce, leche de tigre, avocado cream, mango…) or the tropical Combawa recipe (coconut milk, lime, combawa…). As sides, you can marry your ceviche with sweet potatoe mash and molten cheddar (totally decadent choice) or a well behaved yellow zuchini ceviche, a quinoa salad, etc.

Their cocktails are created by Ricardo, a Peruvian barman living in Paris who has transmitted his know-how to the Brussels crew so they can pour you a mind blowing pisco sour or a fresh homemade lemonade. The desserts are a nice surprise too, especially the chocolate mousse with fizzy sugar that pops in your mouth. While the courses can appear a bit pricey (14-18€ for a rather light course) their 16€ lunch menu with ceviche of the day, side and dessert of the day is great value for money.

On top of serving high quality delicious food, La Cevicheria is gorgeous, design of . The turquoise walls, hanging plants, small marble tables and big rustic wooden ones are an interiors lovers’ dream. So book a table and head to the new kid in Chatelain. If you’re lucky, you can dine in their sunny terrace.
